Two Membership Application Options

At this time, dues are annual when paid by credit card and debited monthly using bank draft. For your privacy, we do not use payroll deduction. The membership form is a financial agreement, so read carefully. AEA, NEA and Local 965 are unified; membership is required in all organizations.

Dues Details

Here is the 2021-2022 dues table. Membership forms separate AEA from NEA numbers and show annual figures, when your EFT or CC payments are monthly. The forms have you fill in the Local dues amount.

AEA/NEA dues are set for Sept. 1 – Aug. 31. However, rates might change — and be recorded on your bank or credit card accounts — before this website is updated. *Negotiating to reduce.

Is there any tax break from union dues? In a word, no. The Turbo Tax gang and the H&R Block crowd have explanations.

Our Mailing List

Still debating membership but for now just want to stay informed? No problem. Join the Local 965 email list. We’ll let you know about meetings, events and what’s on our collective mind. Local 965 does not sell or share your contact information, but union members do receive AEA/NEA mailings.

The Local’s newsletter is emailed midmonth. In between we occasionally send out announcements. So around the beginning of the 3rd week of the month, check your spam/junk folder, in case our email gets stuck there. Then add to your email safe list / address book so it doesn’t get lost again.
